How to properly setup meta tags for a website

Meta tags are HTML elements that provide information about a webpage to search engines and other web services. Here are some general guidelines for setting up meta tags:

Title Tag: The title tag is the most important meta tag, as it appears as the headline in search engine results. Make sure to include relevant keywords and keep it under 60 characters.

Description Tag: The description tag provides a brief summary of the webpage and should be under 160 characters. Use this as an opportunity to entice users to click through to your site.

Keywords Tag: While not as important as it once was, the keywords tag can still help with search engine rankings. Use relevant keywords separated by commas.

Robots Tag: The robots tag tells search engines whether to index or follow a page. Use "index" and "follow" for pages you want to be indexed and followed, and "noindex" and "nofollow" for pages you don't want to be indexed or followed.

Other Tags: There are many other meta tags you can use, such as the author tag, viewport tag, and canonical tag. Research which ones are relevant to your website and use them as needed.

Make sure to include these meta tags in the section of each webpage. Using a content management system like WordPress can make it easier to add meta tags to your website.
